$6.19 in a ziploc baggie. . .

$6.19 in a Ziploc baggie - the gift of ten-year old Carson Bertrand in memory of his Aunt Teresa to help people who are uncomfortable when they are dying. Thirty of Carson’s school friends contributed to this gift, delivered in silence and without fanfare. His gift inspired and supported the creation of “The Estuary” as a haven, when home is not an option for care. Compassion comes when we as humans - no matter what age or profession - connect deeply to the suffering of others. It is at this point in human interrelationships that giving of ourselves to others is what allows for comfort, peace, healing and love.

You can transform the experience of dying for many of our Addison County friends and family. Your gift, whether $6.19 or $619.00 will help someone live well until death. Please give, imitating the profound gift of one child.
